🛠️ Monitoring my 'dumb' boiler with AI
Summary
This project monitors a rental property boiler using a camera and AI to read the appliance screen and indicator lights. It sends text message alerts when operating parameters go outside normal limits, avoiding reliance on delayed room temperature drops.
Why it’s interesting
It connects a non-smart boiler to the internet securely via a camera and AI without exposing critical infrastructure directly to the web.
